Had a bear making workshop at the club today. And since im a craft lover, i had one done for myself.
It was a great workshop, esp. for kids. We were given bear skins ( a few colours and designs to choose from) before we were given the cotton to stuff our teddies with. This was a great way to determine how huggable you wanted your bear to be! Mine was more squishy and soft compared to those well stuffed teds. After stuffing the bears, we were each given a coloured heart where we can pen down our wishes, notes, thoughts, names etc (mine is: i love you hubby!) and the heart was inserted and placed INTO the teddy bear itself. Cool huh!
But before putting the heart into the bear, we were asked to clasp it between our palms, close our eyes and make a wish. and yeah, i did mine too! After all the stuffing was done, we then gave our teddies a special spa treatment. The teds were placed under a blower to dislodge any other particles or cotton left around it and to fluff it up a lil! Special shit man!
Weighing the teddies
That was done and we were next given a tee each to decorate it with some fabric paint. Mine had a heart and an iceywicey printed below it. But then, i just had to buy an extra dress for my bear - denim material with an ear ribbon to boot! She's the sweetest teddy ard, i swear!
And to sum it all up, our teddies were weighed, measured and given a birth certificate. Diamond Iceywiey was born on 9 April weighing 80g and measuring 32cm. She has a pink fur coat, brown eyes and loves me to bits!
